two months to go!

Oh, wow! It has been way too long since I last posted!

Ok, so in the last [almost] year, we've booked our venue, hired a planner, chosen/re-chosen our attendants, ordered my gown, and hired a photographer, ceremony musicians, and a DJ for the reception. I've also purchased favors, but have yet to wrap them. The biggest thing that's left unfinished is hiring a baker... I've contacted a few people, but nothing has come of that yet. I've met with a florist from Norton's, and we talked about my idea for the wedding, but I haven't signed a contract with them yet. So it seems that I have quite a bit more work to do in the TWO MONTHS that are left.

I am really starting to feel the stress as the wedding gets closer; even though I'm taking the semester off, and I [usually] only work weekends, it seems like I never have enough time to do what needs to be done. Charles doesn't get much time off from work, and when he does, it's always unplanned, so we can't ever make appointments for cake tastings, tux fittings, adding to the registry, etc. And things that I wish we could do together I'm stuck doing on my own. On top of all that, Charles's father can only get a week off from work for the wedding (including travel days), which means Charles's brother and sis-in-law and his mother and father don't actually get in until the DAY BEFORE the wedding! So we're really hoping that their tuxes fit because we have no option to exchange on the Saturday afternoon before the wedding. And now, since his whole family will be flying back to Korea with us, we can't use our mileage points for an upgrade to first class; it would be rude for us to be the only ones that comfortable, and an upgrade for everyone would be $thousands$ more that we don't have. It's all worth it, right?... I mean the stress of planning a wedding and such, not the actual marriage. Of course it is. I'm sure that once I get the "big ticket" items crossed off my list that I'll be much less stressed.

And since I'm sure no one wants a COMPLETELY whiny blog, that's the end of that.
